Where this size sits
16 kWh is the largest storage unit in the outdoor all-in-one range and the one that stops being a backup and starts being daily supply. It suits:
- a household running a full daily load profile — refrigeration, air conditioning in one or two rooms, laundry, cooking appliances;
- a small commercial or agricultural site where the load runs through the working day;
- an off-grid or weak-grid property that needs to carry through a full night;
At 6500 W output with a 13000 W surge, the unit covers motor starts on pumps and compressors that would trip a smaller inverter. Because the battery is 51.2 V rather than 25.6 V, the DC current for a given power is halved — less heat in the DC path and less stress on the connectors.
At 133.4 kg this is not a one-person installation. Plan the mounting point, the access route and the base before delivery. IP54 allows outdoor siting, but ventilation and ambient temperature still govern performance.
Why all-in-one
A conventional system needs an inverter, a separate battery bank, a battery enclosure, interconnecting DC cabling and a BMS. An all-in-one replaces all of that with a single enclosure:
- No separate battery bank to house. The cells sit inside the unit.
- No field DC wiring between inverter and battery. Fewer connection points, fewer failure modes, less risk of a wrong-voltage connection damaging the unit.
- Matched components. The MPPT, inverter and BMS are designed together rather than assembled from different suppliers.
The trade-off is serviceability: an internal battery cannot be swapped as quickly as an external pack. For residential and small commercial installations, the trade is usually worth it.
Protection and safety
- LiFePO4 chemistry — decomposition temperature above 500 °C.
- Square aluminium-shell cells tested to GB/T 36276-2018 for overcharge, over-discharge, external short circuit, crush and drop.
- BMS monitoring cell voltage and temperature against overcharge, over-discharge and over-temperature.
- Cycles ≥6000 at 25 °C, 0.5C, 80% depth of discharge, to 80% capacity retention.
- Self-discharge ≤3% per month at 25 °C.
- IP54 — dust protected and resistant to splashing water, which is what makes outdoor installation possible.

Certification and transport
| Certification | Status |
|---|---|
| CE / FCC / RoHS | Not held |
| UN38.3 | Not held |
This model holds no certification files, and no UN38.3 report. As it contains lithium cells, UN38.3 is required for air and sea transport booking, so shipping is currently restricted. We state this before ordering rather than after — see the certifications page.
Not the right choice when
- Daily consumption stays under about 5 kWh. The extra capacity would sit at partial state of charge — not harmful, but not economical. Take the H3-W8-6500.
- You need portable backup rather than fixed storage. See the portable units in the energy storage range.
- The wall or floor cannot take 133.4 kg plus the mounting bracket. Check the surface before ordering; the H3-W8-6500 is the lighter unit at 89.4 kg.
